BIOGRAPHY

The talent of this nationally acclaimed Montana native artist surfaced as he began his drawing and painting in his early teen years in Billings. Elliott Eaton studied at Montana State University and, in the early 1980's, moved to Red Lodge to be closer to his subject matter. A move to Roscoe Montana got him even closer to his favorite scenery. That scenery is comprised of the Beartooth Mountains, the East Rosebud area, Paradise Valley, and the beautiful streams and landscapes around the mountains and mountain foothills. Montana has also provided Elliott the impetus for his vibrant floral designs in oil and watercolor.

Elliott has had work juried into the Arts in the National Parks Top 100 national competition and has work in the permanent collection of the Yellowstone Art Center. Elliott Eaton has won various awards such as the Grumbacher Silver Medallion at the Annual Waterworks Gallery Show Miles City and First Place watercolor given by the Cody Art Leaque.

Elliott shares his talents by giving workshops in watercolor, charcoal, and oil painting throughout Montana and Wyoming. His early years were influenced by Billings artists Leroy Green and Ben Steele to name a few. Elliott Eaton is a true artist.
